As Thanksgiving approaches, we find ourselves reflecting with deep gratitude and humility on the journey we have been walking together at The Farm.
Every morning, we wake up motivated and thankful that we get to bring this shared dream to life. Each of us arrived at this vision from different paths, but what has been most extraordinary is how closely aligned our hearts, intentions, and goals have remained through nearly four years of building. The seed that began as a unified idea has remained unified—not because it has been easy, but because of the community growing around it.
What we are doing here is not simple. There is no blueprint to borrow from or development to imitate. Everything at The Farm has been created through hard work, belief, and the steadfast support of owners, stewards, and friends like you. There are times when we wish things could move faster, but we also recognize that meaningful things take time. The pace at which this place grows is organic—shaped by the land, by the people, and by the purpose behind it. And even in the most challenging stretches, we look around and see something truly beautiful.
We are blessed with an incredible team—without question, the strongest we’ve ever had. The amenities we envisioned years ago are taking shape phase by phase. But the deepest source of inspiration has been the people who have chosen to walk this journey with us: owners, visitors, partners, and families who share our passion for wellness, community, food, learning, faith, and physical renewal. Together, you continue to push the boundaries of what intentional living can look like.
Our vision for The Farm is much larger than what currently exists. Great things—lasting things—are never accomplished overnight. We believe this is a decade-long undertaking at minimum, and we are only partway there. We often see people return after months away, and without fail they are stunned by the transformation taking place—lush gardens, new structures, deeper friendships, richer rhythms of life. It is a reminder that growth is happening all around us, even when we are busy tending the soil beneath our feet.
So as we enter this season of gratitude, we want each of you to know that your presence—whether as a guest, a subscriber, a supporter, or a fellow dreamer—has mattered. You are helping shape something timeless: a place where families can belong, where faith and nature meet, where restoration happens in community, and where life can slow down long enough for meaning to take root.
From our hearts to yours, we wish you and your family a restorative and joy-filled Thanksgiving.
With appreciation,
Doug & Jeff
