Meet Trinity Davis & MacKenzie Langland of The Farm at Okefenokee
At The Farm at Okefenokee, our Animal Care Team plays a vital role in bringing our land to life. From managing and caring for our heritage breed cattle, pigs, chickens, turkeys, horses, and goats, this dedicated team ensures that every animal is raised with respect, purpose, and the highest ethical standards.
Unlike most agrihoods that feature only community gardens, our livestock program is a defining part of who we are. We believe that working with heritage breeds preserves agricultural traditions, promotes healthier ecosystems, and produces the highest quality food possible. Just as important, we believe in investing in local talent—people who understand the land, respect the work, and bring heart into everything they do.
Today, we’re proud to introduce two of those remarkable team members: Trinity Davis and MacKenzie Langland—two local cowgirls who truly put the care in Animal Care.
Trinity Davis — Rooted in Horses, Raised for the Ranch
Trinity was born in Jacksonville and moved to Georgia at the age of seven, but her connection to farm life began even earlier. She spent summers and school breaks on her grandparents’ small farm, where her love for animals took root. Growing up with horses sealed the deal.
“I loved it so much, I just stuck with it,” Trinity says.
With five years of professional equine experience and a lifetime of farm and ranch work starting at just 14 years old, Trinity brings deep hands-on knowledge to the Farm. Her expertise spans horses, cattle, pasture management, and heavy equipment operation, including tractors used for mowing fields, hauling wagons, and maintaining the land.
As a member of the Animal Care Team, Trinity helps maintain pastures, manage daily feeding routines, move animals, improve structures like chicken coops, and prepare for incoming livestock. No two days look the same—and that’s exactly how she likes it.
What Trinity loves most about The Farm is the peace and purpose it offers.
“The ranch and farm lifestyle is what I enjoy most,” she says. “Getting to work with the animals is truly a great experience and opportunity.”
And when she’s not on the clock? You’ll likely still find her in the barn with her horses, on the tractor in the fields, or riding four-wheelers through the woods. A true country girl through and through.
MacKenzie Langland — Finding Purpose in the Rhythm of the Farm
MacKenzie was also born in Jacksonville but spent much of her life moving before feeling called back to the countryside. Nearly a year into her role at The Farm, she says the work aligns perfectly with her love of outdoors, nature, animals, and meaningful hard work.
“I love connecting with my roots and putting in a good day’s work,” she shares.
MacKenzie plays a key role in managing feed operations and supporting daily and long-term projects that help expand and strengthen the livestock program. Each day begins with a feeding routine and transitions into hands-on development across the property.
Though many of her past jobs weren’t on farms, each one prepared her for this path. Her time working on a ranch as a barn hand—teaching riding lessons and leading trail rides—was the moment she realized where she was meant to be.
What she cherishes most about The Farm is its simplicity and spiritual grounding.
“Watching the sunrise every morning, seeing nature die and be reborn—it’s a great place for internal growth when you connect with something deeper than yourself.”
When MacKenzie isn’t caring for animals, she expresses her creativity through the arts—making music, painting, writing, and cooking. For her, bringing things to life—on the farm and beyond—is where true joy lives.
Trinity and MacKenzie represent everything we value at The Farm at Okefenokee:
Local talent with real roots in the land
A deep respect for heritage breeds and responsible agriculture
An unwavering commitment to ethical, hands-on animal care
Their dedication ensures our animals are not only healthy—but thriving. And their presence strengthens the spirit of the Farm itself.
We’re honored to have them on our team—and we can’t wait for you to meet them in person.
